HORATIO 2nd-CHANCE BREAKFAST
Did you oversleep? Are you running late? Did your child skip breakfast?
Do you know your school offers a 2nd-chance breakfast?
Schools offer a full breakfast before school begins.
However, some children miss this for one reason or another.
Horatio Elementary School offers a 2nd-chance breakfast between 8:15 and 9:15 by grade level.
Horatio High School offers a 2nd-chance breakfast from 8:45 to 8:50.
What is 2nd-chance breakfast? It is a short time allowed for a snack and drink to help children make it to lunch time without being hungry. It is not a full breakfast.
Is it free? Possibly. The breakfast is charged to your child's account. If a child qualifies for free/reduced meals, they can have one breakfast. If they choose to have the 2nd-chance breakfast, it will be charged to the child's account. If they are not able to have the first breakfast, the 2nd-chance breakfast would be free/reduced. If a child does not qualify for free/reduced meals, then the 2nd-chance breakfast would be charged to the child's account.
Is it required? No. This is a way to help children be fed and prepared for the school day but children are not required to participate. Contact your child's school for more information.
