
Hello and Happy Summer, all band students and parents are invited to attend our first booster meeting & meet the director Thursday (July 11th) at 6pm in the Horatio High School Band Room. Students and parents will have a chance to meet with Mr. Stover as we discuss marching band, the fall semester, goals for the year, expectations, and Mr. Stover will be able to answer questions that you may have as we prepare for the beginning of the academic year. I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you this year! This is going to be a great year for our band program!

HES will host summer school June 17-21, June 24-28 from 8 am to 12 pm.


You are invited to the HES Handbook Committee Meeting May 31st, at 10:00 am, in the elementary library.


At this time, graduation will still be held on the football field 7:30 pm. Weather conditions with be monitored throughout the evening. If any changes are made, an announcement will be made as soon as possible.


Horatio High School Class of 2024 Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 16 at 7:30 pm in the Lion Stadium (weather permitting or game gym if it rains). If you are unable to attend, you may watch the ceremony with the following link:

Gunner Voss, a junior at Horatio High School, received the Student Achievement Award for Perfect Attendance. This is Gunner's second year in a row to receive this award. Congratulations and great job, Gunner! We appreciate and admire your dedication and commitment to your education and to Horatio High School.


Part Two: To close out the activities for National Library Week, the HHS Library held its 2nd Annual Checkers Tournament. Twenty-eight students in grades 7-12 participated in the double elimination tournament. Lydia Craig was the winner of the Jr High division. Sr high division winner was Braden Wolcott.

7th & 8th Grade Academic Banquet


ART II and ART III students at HHS participated in a collaborative recycling project while learning about 3D Design and Interior Design. Students drafted their room plans on paper then used donated or recycled materials to create this giant doll house!

Dear Horatio Parents and Guardians,
Horatio Public Schools will conduct an annual mandated emergency drill sometime this coming week. This will involve local emergency response personnel. You are encouraged to speak with your children in advance and encourage them to follow teachers' instructions during this drill.
